This show is a return to playful, low stakes art making for me.
With these pieces, I tried a sort of stream-of-consciousness drawing that started with a line and no plan and ended with a shape, a pattern, a design.
It was very freeing to keep it simple with only the white acrylic and smoke to work with. It kept me honest to the fumage technique and allowed the images room to breathe.
It doesn't always have to be profound, sometimes it can just be Shapes N' Shit!
